Job Title:          Dual Registered Manager (Children’s Service)

Salary:               Up to £65,000 DOE

Bonus:               Bonuses – 10% of salary

Hours:                Average 40 hours per week

Job Summary

As the Dual Registered Manager you will:

  • Responsible for opening and managing two children’s homes providing care for young people with a mental health and associated learning disabilities and emotional & behavioural difficulties aged 10-17 years.
  • Your will ensure the home operates in compliance with the standards and regulations set out in the current version of the National Minimum Standards for Children’s Homes and Children’s Homes regulations.
  • You will ensure the Regulation 34 inspection is carried out and ensure recommendations or requirements from Ofsted inspection reports and or Regulation 34 reports are acted upon.
  • Ensuring positive relationships and meeting the needs of the children & young people, always safeguarding them, whilst providing support to the Staff team.

Qualification & Experience

  • Excellent knowledge & understanding of The Children’s home regulations, National Minimum Standards, Every Child Matters, & the Children Act
  • Within the last 5 years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children.
  • Worked for at least one year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England), or a qualification which the registered provider considers to be equivalent to the Level 5 Diploma.
