Job Title: Senior Support Worker (Children’s Residential Service) 

 

Location:   Shard End, Birmingham, B34

 

Salary: £23,800 to £25,300 plus £60 per sleep in. 

 

Hours:    Average 40 hours per week 

 

Contract:    Permanent

Job Summary:

 

As a Senior Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide effective monitoring, support and supervision to the staff team always acting as a positive role model in line with Care Regulations. 
  • Manage staff rotas, complete daily shift queries and ensure handover is completed to a high standard. 
  • Provide on call cover as arranged by the Home Manager.  
  • Ensure all required documentation and records are completed in line with requirements.   
  • Ensuring positive relationships with the children & young people, and always safeguarding them.
  •

Essential Skills:

  • UK Full Driving Licence 
  • Excellent communication 
  • Basic Computer Skills Essential 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within Children’s Residential Service 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in Residential childcare (Minimum 2 years)- Essential 
  • Qualified - Hold a Diploma Level 3 in diploma for residential childcare or equivalent – Essential
